With your initial database built, it’s time to prepare for outreach. Today is about crafting and practicing your “I’m in real estate” announcement. The goal is to be confident, clear, and non-salesy. You are simply informing your sphere of your new career and offering your help. Here is a sample script for a phone call: “Hey [Name], it’s [Your Name]. How have you been? (Engage in a minute of personal conversation). The reason I’m calling is to share some exciting news – I’ve recently launched my career in real estate with [Your Brokerage]. I’m really excited about it, and I wanted to let you know. As I’m building my business, I’m aiming to be a valuable resource for my friends and family. So, if you or anyone you know ever has a question about real estate, whether it’s about the market, a renovation, or just a contractor recommendation, please think of me as your go-to person. I’d be happy to help in any way I can.” Notice you are not asking for business. You are offering value. Practice this script until it feels natural. You can adapt it for text messages and social media posts as well.
